Berger and traveling compatriot Bourgeois seem to be having a lot of these homecoming shows- which I guess makes sense since they seem to be on some sort of Groundhog Day of endless touring…. they’ll probably be leaving again about two weeks after this show. You know the drill: folky chanteuse with a yen for the American Songbook + engaging contemporary folkie, only this time in a church-sanctioned club. Rad! -TF

Coming back to their hometown, Sacramento’s own Deftones will be shredding for a good cause at Ace of Spades on June 14th. All proceeds go to the band’s injured bass player, Chi Ling Cheng, who was in a horrific car accident in November of 2008. Help pay for medical bills and support the band by coming and rocking out.
