Benefit! Music! Art! Thursday!

Take Back Midtown presents “Stop the Traffick” an art and music event to benefit Project Free Hope. We will “Stop the Traffick” on Thursday, December 10 from 7 p.m. -2 a.m. at the Townhouse.

Project Free Hope is the brainchild of local activist (and stylist) Rachel Marrs. Project Free Hope is an up-and-coming non-profit and the organizational extension of the wildly successful “Cuts for a Cause”.

Project Free Hope exists to “abolish child sex trafficking and the child sex industry by creating and presenting hope-one life at a time”. No small task. So Take Back Midtown is stepping in to raise some cash by throwing a badass art event for your Thursday evening pleasure.

The 7-9 art reception will feature one-of-a-kind work by Vagas Hawk and a photographic and multi-media retrospective from Marrs and Danielle Fields’ recent visit to Thailand. Handmade goods from Thailand will also be available for a “donation”.

“Stop the Traffick” will kick it up a notch at 9 with music upstairs by Chelsea Wolfe, ThouSANDS, Winter Trees, Art Lessing and more… Downstairs you will find live painting by Rachel Miller and DJ dancing with Larry Rodriguez and special guest DJ Adam.

Bring a fistful of cash and a big desire to make big change. $5-$20 sliding scale.
